About The Event
The Block Kids Building Program is a national building competition for Kindergarten through 6th grade children and introduces them to construction careers.
Each child who participates is given 100 Mega building blocks in various sizes and string, rocks, or aluminum foil to build a construction-related project of their choosing. The children are given one hour to complete their projects, which are then judged by area volunteers from various construction-related fields.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive a trophy and a prize. The overall winner’s project is then sent for regional judging and a chance to advance to the national competition.
Lunch will be provided.
Participation in the Block Kids building competition is free but online registration is required.
