Toyota Plant Tour 2009

The Safety Committee organized a tour of the San Antonio Toyota Manufacturing Plant.  Although we were not allowed to take photographs during the actual tour, we did manage to snap some silly "before" shots in the Visitor's Center - which was filled with fun, educational games & displays.  When the tour started, we donned our hard hats & safety glasses, and took our seats in the Toyota "train" which guided us through the various areas of the plant and showed the extreme lenghts that Toyota goes through to avoid ANY trash (everything is recycled), the safety precautions that they take, and the impressive steps that are involved in building a Toyota truck.  (We were permitted in all the areas, except the paint.)  It was truly like a "ride" and was extremely entertaining.  Many thanks to Brooks Development for scheduling a "field trip" day and joining NAWIC on the tour.
