The smoke from grilling fajitas greeted four hundred people Thursday, May 14, as they walked to the parking lot behind Virtual Builders Exchange.  Referred to as “Sweatfest”, the parking lot mixer has been celebrated for over twenty years, originating at the Pearl Brewery when it was still a brewery. 

NAWIC members showed their support en masse, and proudly wore pink sparkly leis that Sandee Morgan brought.  I deeply appreciated that for most of the evening, I only had to turn my head, and there was a NAWIC member willing to tease me out of my stress!

I firmly believe that WE are the best marketing for our Chapter, and that by attending Industry events such as this, we WILL attract new members.  We’re almost to 70!
