CPR & FIRST AID COURSE - 2009

This year, the chapter Safety Committee decided to do something a little different.  In an effort to raise safety awareness, as well as generate a little extra income for the chapter, the committee chose to schedule a CPR/First Aid course for NAWIC members & guests.  22 People signed up for two nights of fun & education, as we learned the warning signs to identify victims suffering from strokes, heart attacks, etc., as well as the proper method to administer CPR.  A big THANK YOU to Engineering Safety Consultants for hosting this event at their training facility, as well as donating the instructors' time, and providing snacks.   All 22 students passed with flying colors!  As important as CPR/First Aid awareness is within our industry, as well as within our lives, I hope this will become an annual educational course that we will continue to provide.
